Interior design in harmony with the exterior lines
The same indications are followed in designing the interior of the 2010 cars. By opening the doors, the first impression is of an interior that surrounds the occupants. This is dominated by the "wing" that wraps from the instrument panel to the door, forming a downward dynamic curve. The marked area in the form of carved praise "from the outside is repeated in the form of the interior door handles, where the bright accent material reach the armrests of the doors. These eye-catching accents are also included in the inserts in the chrome steering wheel and the front of the center console. All materials pool to create a perfectly harmonious interior of great class. The whole interior has been given a bright and spacious approach that is both comfortable and sporty.
The interior lighting and exterior of the car, Opel grants a night even more unique appearance. Externally, distinctive lighting designs in the form of "wing" for the headlights and rear give the Insignia a unique presence. In the interior, the designers have added a warm orange-red ambient light to improve the atmosphere in night driving. The instrument panel is lit in white, but when you press the button "sport" this lighting turns red to match the rest of the lighting. "The lines that flow gracefully give a great sense of movement inside," said Puskas.
Puskas organized its interior design group into four specific teams, each focusing on their area of expertise: Design, Design of components, color and finish and quality perception. Each of these teams worked closely with the other, ensuring that all elements come together to form a perfectly resolved interior.
In the Insignia, all materials and colors have been developed to provide a feeling of luxury to the interior environment for the england calendar. Versions "sport" have finished in glossy piano black lacquer, which contrasts with the soft grain of the rest of the black interior. On the other side of the spectrum, there is a warm environment that initiates a new path, with Kibo polished wood, complemented by a warm brown upholstery clear.
"In 2010, we have made a radical change in the look, appearance and approach of the Insignia's colors and finishes," says Peter Jaksch, chief designer for color and upholstery of GM Europe.
